The Cache Tank Bag straps very securely to your bike’s top tube and provides easy-access storage for your phone, snacks, repair kits, or other small items. It’s a great choice for both daily rides and as part of a larger bikepacking kit. Unlike most other tank bags, the Cache is packed with practical features for life on the trail.

• Not 100% waterproof: built with weatherproof materials, but it is a sewn product, so in heavy downpours dampness may show at the seams

COMPATIBILITY: Works on just about any bike with a top tube. Since positioning is independent along top tube, the Cache can easily be moved to avoid strap conflicts with frame bags, for example.

STEP-BY-STEP:

• Installation is straightforward - simply secure both straps tightly around top tube. The rear strap is fixed; the front strap can be located in either slot to accommodate different frame shapes and sizes.

• The forward strap is left long to allow for use with large frame gussets, where the strap needs to pass around both top tube and down tube.

• Once you’re certain of your positioning, you may trim the excess strap (if any) to keep things clean. Trim ONLY in the velcro-only areas of the strap. Do NOT trim the areas that are reinforced with rubberized fabric.

What I do, why I do it, and the way it’s done:

• I’ve been working in the bicycle industry since 1997 and hand-building gear for bicycles since 2010. A lot has changed over the years, but what’s remained the same is my motivation. I’m still here, still innovating, still building, and still believing in American craftsmanship.

• My process is human-scale and analog, not corporate and digital. I’m not intentionally a throwback; that's just the way life makes sense to me. I can’t help but push back on a modern age obsessed with technology, externalization, and efficiency at all costs… a world that increasingly feels inhuman. Working with my hands and conversing with my customers is good for me, good for customers, provides purpose, and supports my family. I count that as a win.
